Bubba Watson should go ahead and make plans to pay for the college tuition of Jason Day’s child. The kid just helped Bubba win $3.5 million.
Watson, a late entry into the Hero Challenge after Day backed out as his wife gave birth to their second child, won the tournament with a closing weekend kick of 63-66.
Watson finished 25-under, one off Jordan Spieth’s record from a year ago and three strokes better than Patrick Reed (22-under).
Spieth finished fourth at 20-under. The entire field finished at least 4-under par in the non-sanctioned event put on by the Tiger Woods Foundation.
The PGA Tour is on hiatus until the Hyundai Tournament of Champions beginning January 7, 2016.
