The Race to Dubai’s field of 60 for the Final Series has been locked in, with the Turkish Airlines Open due to start November 2 at Regnum Caraya Golf & Spa Resport in Antalya, Turkey.
It will be followed by the Nedbank Golf Challenged hosted by Gary Player in Sun City, South Africa, November 9-12. The series and the European Tour season will end November 16-19 with the DP Would Tour Championship at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai.
England’s Tommy Fleetwood is the points leader going in with just over 4 million. He leads #2 Sergio Garcia, who racked up 3.184 million this year. Justin Rose is third after his big finish at the WGC-HSBC Championships last weekend. Rose has 2.993 million, followed closely by Spain’s Jon Rahm with 2.898 million. England’s Tyrrell Hatton rounds out the top 5 with 2.561 million points.
England has four of the top six point-getters, and theUK has five of the top 10 if you include Rory McIlroy, who is unlikely to play again this year due to mounting injuries.
Twenty-five of the top 60 players have accrued at least 1 million points this year. Lucky #60 is Benjamin Hebert of France who accrued 569,604 points this year.
No. 61 is England’s Matt Wallace at 554,535. If McIlroy is unable to play, Wallace will earn his spot, which he won by just 174 points over No. 62 Shane Lowry.
