Jason Day won a new car with an ace, and promptly donated the money to charity. But even that hot finish couldn’t compared to the red-hot play of fellow Australian Marc Leishman.
Leishman followed up his 62 with a 64 to push his scorecard to 16-under through two rounds at the BMW Championship on Friday. The Aussie is 16-under, giving him a three-stroke lead over Jason Day and Rickie Fowler.
Day drilled a hole-in-on the 189-yard No. 17 to win a BMW, which he promptly donated to charity. It’s been nine years since his last ace
The 33-year-old Leishman is after his second win this year and his third career on the PGA Tour. It would be his biggest career win by far. He lost a playoff at the 2015 Open Championship to Zach Johnson.
