Bubba Watson has sold the house he bought in 2013, which Tiger Woods formerly lived in and which was the site of the domestic dispute in 2009 that opened up Woods’ Pandora’s Box of marital infidelity.
Woods was booted from the house by ex-wife Elin Woods shortly thereafter. Watson bought the property in 2013 and had it remodeled. It has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a pool, a private dock, and a spa.
Located in the gated golf community of Isleworth, Florida, the property sold for $4.2 million, which is great, because Watson surely needs the money, having only made $3.2 million on Tour this year (so far) and a meager $35.2 million over the course of his career.
The house and the street it resides on are famous for the events of November 27, 2009, when Woods left home at 2:30 a.m in his Escalade and crashed into a fire hydrant and several plants. He received a ticket for reckless driving.
Reports are rampant that Woods’ hasty departure and subsequent accident were a result of Elin chasing him out of the house with a golf club after learning he had been unfaithful.
Two weeks after the accident, the number of women who had come forth as Woods’ mistresses equaled his number of Major wins: 14.
