2016 Outlook: Rickie Fowler

After his rare air season of 2014 in which he finished in the top five of all four Majors, Rickie Fowler could only improve if he won one of the Big Four. He didn’t, yet still moved up four spots to No. 6 in the world thanks to a pair of wins on the PGA Tour and his first on the European Tour.

Fowler had top six finishes in his first two events of last season, then broke through with a victory at the Players Championship in May.

He was far less effective in the Majors – one tie for 12th, one missed cut and two ties for 30th, but he rallied back with a win at the Deutsche Bank Championship and tied for fourth at the BMW Championship.

In the midst of it all, he also won the Scottish Open with a 12-under 268.
