Henrik Stenson went winless on the PGA and European Tours for the first time since 2011, and it cost him in the world rankings in 2015, dropping from No. 2 to start the year to No. 5 to end it.
Regardless of his lack of wins, Stenson was in position to win the FedEx Cup for the second time in three years going into The Tour Championship in October, and nearly pulled it off, finishing tied for second after also ending as runner-up at The Barclays and the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Stenson was money on the PGA Tour all year, with 12 top 25 finishes in 16 events. He wasn’t too shabby on the European Tour either, with three Top 5 finishes including tied for third at the BMW Masters, but he only played seven strictly European Tour events, seeming to focus more on the better paydays of the PGA.
