American Jordan Spieth returned to Augusta National for the first time since winning the Masters last April and discovered a pleasant surprise. The country club has Masters champions share lockers, and Spieth’s co-habitant is Arnold Palmer.
Also prominently featured in the locker room is Spieth’s 60-degree wedge which he donated after winning the green jacket last year, another tradition.
Spieth will have the honor of choosing the champions’ dinner meal before the start of the 2016 tournament, as he seeks to become the first man since Tiger Woods in 2001-2002, and only the fourth man ever to repeat as Masters champion.
Palmer won at Augusta four times – 1958, 1960, 1962, and 1964.
