A former FedEx Cup winner and a PGA Champion combined to win the Franklin Templeton Shootout on Saturday, firing a final-round 11-under to finish 30-under and cash in on $385,000 each.
The pair are Brandt Snedeker and Jason Dufner, who were the only team to shoot double-digits under par in the final round to finish two strokes ahead of Harris English and Matt Kuchar, who also finished second a year ago and won the tournament in 2013.
Day 2 leaders Daniel Berger and Charley Hoffman dropped to third with a 7-under on Saturday.
Cameron Tringale and Camilo Villegas finished fifth. Trinagle won the event last year with Jason Day, who pulled out about a week ago as his wife gave birth to the couple’s second child.
Dufner and Snedeker birdied the final two holes to take the title.
