Spain’s Pablo Larrazabal secured a much stronger foothold in the Race to Dubai standings with his win at the BMW International Open on Sunday in Munich.
Larrazabal moved from 43rd to 25th in the standings, now claiming 576,068 points through 13 events. He is one of five Spaniards currently in the field of 60, which will conclude the 2015 season with a series of post-season tournaments.
Henrik Stenson, the BMW runner-up, moved back into the top 10 for his troubles at No. 10 with 873,595 points. Stenson finished second in the final standings last year after winning the title in 2013.
The new owner of the hot seat this week – No. 60 in the field of 60 – is Belgium’s Thomas Pieters with 263,091 points.
