McIlroy Top Vegas Pick for Masters

Even though last year’s eighth-place finish was the best Rory McIlroy has ever done at The Masters, that isn’t stopping Las Vegas oddsmakers from installing him as the overwhelming favorite to wear the green jacket six weeks from now at Augusta.

Even after missing the cut at the Honda Classic Saturday, Mcilroy is a 13/2 favorite for Augusta. He’s a slight favorite over Jason Day, one of the hottest golfers to start, who is 12/1.

Defending champion Bubba Watson, a two-time winner, is installed at 13/1, followed by young comer Jordan Spieth at 16/1. No other golfer is better than 20/1.

Despite their recent struggles, both Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods are in the top half of the odds. Mickelson is a 30/1 favorite, better than the likes of Justin Rose or Henrik Stenson.

Woods, who isn’t even active on the PGA right now, is still listed at 50/1.
