4:13 p.m. EDT – Round One is in the books with Tiger Woods tied for 8th at 3-under. Just two players shot over par: Daniel Berger (+3) and Alex Noren (+1).
2:26 p.m. EDT – Rickie Fowler is in the clubhouse at 5-under, 1 stroke off the lead. Matt Kuchar is 5-under through 17, trying to tie for the lead. Tiger Wood is in the clubhouse at 3-under, tied for eighth. Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose are both done at 4-under, and Jordan Spieth has birdied 15 and 17 to reach 4-under with one hole to play.
1:49 p.m .EDT – Fleetwood is the leader in the clubhouse at with a 6-under 66. Rickie Fowler is at 5-under through 15. Woods bogeyed 15 to drop back to 3-under, but he’s in good company with the likes of Justin Thomas and Matt Kuchar. Under-the-weather Jordan Spieth is 2-under through 14. Wildcard invitee Daniel Berger bombed out on the back nine to shoot a 3-over 75.
1:17 p.m. EDT – Woods now at 4-under through 14, two shots off the lead. Granted this is one round of a tiny tournament on his home course, but you have to like what you’ve seen so far. Fleetwood picking up where he left off in winning the Race to Dubai at 6-under through 15.
12:50 p.m. EDT – Woods has made his second birdie of the day to move to 2-under through nine. He’s tied for fourth, one stroke behind the tri-leaders.
12:41 p.m. EDT – Tiger just missed a second birdie on a par 5. He’s 1-under through seven, two back of the lead now shared by Fleetwood, Rose and Dustin Johnson. Defending champion Hideki Matsuyama is in last place at 2-over through 11.
11:50 a.m. EDT – Woods has birdied No. 3 with a pair of putts after his second shot found the back of the green. He’s at 1-under, tied for fifth and one stroke off the lead.
11:34 a.m. EDT – Kevin Chappell races to 3-under through five to lead the field, followed by Race to Dubai 1-2 punch of Tommy Fleetwood (-2) and Justin Rose (-1).
11:30 a.m. EDT – Woods has birdied his first two holes and is tied for fifth with Alex Noren, Henrik Stenson, Daniel Berger and Brooks Koepka. He outdrove Justin Thomas by a good 30 yards on the first hole, with his opening drive carrying 301 yards.
