Rickie Fowler clambered from 15th up to 9th in the most recent Official World GOlf Rankings released this week.The US now has four of the top 10 players in the world.
Barely three months into the 2017 campaign and the Top 10 has become quite topsy-turvy. Only #7 Adam Scott is in the same spot he was when 2016 ended.
In addition to Fowler’s move up, Hideki Matsuyama rose to No. 4i in the world the second highest ranking by an Asian golfer ever. One of those sliding the other way is Masters defending champion Danny Willett, who fell three spots to 14th. The Brit is starting to go the way of Martin Kaymer after his US Open win in 2014.
Tiger Woods tumbled to 711th with another week of inactivity.
