Masters champion Danny Willett cracked the Top 10 in the Official World Golf Rankings for the first time on Sunday, rising three spots from No. 12 to No. 9.
Not bad for a guy who was barely inside the top 20 to start 2016.
Jason Day retained the top spot in the rankings ahead of Jordan Spieth, who would have reclaimed the No. 1 position had he won on Sunday.
Willett’s ascension knocked American Patrick Reed out of the top 10.
Great effort by Danny Willett
