A look at some of the better numbers and notes from Day 1 of the 2016 Masters

13 – Total times winning the Masters by the three honorary starters – Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player. In the 1960s, they won seven straight as a trio.

50 – Consecutive Masters that Palmer played in during his career.

7 – Years since Danny Lee played the Masters in 2009. He made up for lost time with a 4-under 68.

9 – Scores worse than a double bogey during the first round, including Ernie Els’ nightmarish 9 on No. 1.
