Hunter Mahan is $7 million richer, and he didn’t even have to beat Jordan Spieth on the golf course to do it. Instead, he sold him a house.
Spieth plunked down $7.15 million to buy Mahan’s former residence in North Dallas after visiting the place and loving what he saw. Mahan has had the home on the market since May of 2014.
The new digs includes a 12-car underground garage featuring a full mural of Augusta National’s clubhouse, along with a golf simulator room and an indoor basketball court.
Mahan originally asked for $8.495 million, but the price dipped to $7.995 million within a year, and the two golfers brokered the deal themselves on a final price.
