Charl Schwartzel found himself in a familiar place at the conclusion of Friday’s second round of the Alfred Dunhill Championships in South Africa.
Dunhill fired a 67 on a day full of bad scores to open up a five-stroke lead heading into the weekend sessions at the Leopard Creek Country Club.
It’s no surprise that Schwartzel is excelling so far this week. He has won the even three times previously and on average shoots 4-under every time he plays this course.
He’s 7-under through two round on the back nine alone, and 11-under over all.
If he can keep the lead, he’ll become just the eighth European Tour player to win one event at least four times.
