Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee fired a 66 on Saturday, allowing him to take a one-stroke lead at the BMW Masters, making up three shots over the course of the round.
Lucas Bjerregaard had led the field after two rounds, but Jaidee jumped in front with two birdies on the back nine.
Korea’s Byeong-hun An and Spain’s Sergio Garcia are also tied for second.
A win would give Jaidee eight in his European Tour career and keep him in contention for the overall victory in the Final Series, as Rory McIlroy has chosen to not play this week.
Jaidee could rise as high as No. 3 in the standings with a win.
