UBS Hong Kong Open Preview

Justin Rose and American Dustin Johnson highlight the field at the UBS Hong Kong Open starting Thursday in Asia, the final event of the regular season for the 2015 campaign of the European Tour.

It’s Rose’s first trip since 2011 and a chance for him to move even higher in the Race to Dubai standings before the start of the Final Series. Rose is currently fifth with 2,238,276 points, but could score an additional 289,947 with a victory, which would move him into fourth.

Rose and Johnson are paired together along with Graeme McDowell int he first round with at 12:10 p.m. local tee time.

Also in the field are 21-year-old Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick, who recorded his initial European Tour victory two weeks ago, along with defending champion Scott Hend and four-time champion Miguel Angel Jimenez.
