Thorbjorn Olesen’s big win at the Dunhill Links Championship saw him soar to No. 25 in the latest Race to Dubai standings update, meaning he will play in the Final Series starting in a month.
Olesen has 883,472 points through 20 tournaments. The Top 60 men qualify for the Final Series, with South Africa’s Thomas Aiken currently on the hot seat at No. 60, with 460,145 points.
Players get one point for every euro in prize money they earn on the tour. A full 20 players have earned more than 1 million points this season; and six of those have surpassed the 2 million-point mark.
Rory McIlroy is the only man above 3 million points, which has him first in the standings after winning the Final Series a year ago.
