Matthew Fitzpatrick is already in the meat of the Race to Dubai standings at No. 41. A championship this week would cement him into the top half of them.
Pelle Edberg is 34 spots outside the top 60, and a win this week could get him into that lucrative post-season field.
The two are tied atop the leaderboard at the D+D REAL Czech Masters after 36 holes.
Both men shot 67s after 66s on Thursday to lead the tournament by one stroke. Edberg had a one-bogey round for the second straight day, while Fitzpatrick had his second straight bogey-free round, notching three birdies and an eagle on No. 12.
The 67s were tied for the lowest score of the round. Belgium’s Thomas Pieters is a shot back at 10-under following his second-day 68.
Pieters, Edberg, and Fitzpatrick are the only players who are double-digits below par.
