Jordan Spieth’s lead in the FedEx Cup standings is getting a bit ridiculous.
With his win on Sunday at the John Deer Classic, Spieth now has 3,628 points, more than 1,700 ahead of second-place Jimmy Walker.
Spieth has four wins so far on the PGA Tour this year, double any other player. His 3,628 points is only 40 less than the combined total of Walker and No. 3 Bubba Watson.
John Deere third-place finisher Danny Lee jumped from 15th to 12th. He was 57th two weeks ago.
The 46-year-old Tom Gillis, who lost to Spieth on the second hole of the playoff Sunday, jumped into the Fed Ex picture from 194th to 122nd. The top 125 players qualify for the year-end post-season series of tournaments.
