Travelers Championship winner Bubba Watson and the 220th best player in the world will be among the men to watch at The Greenbrier Classic this week in West Virginia.
The par-70, 7,287-yard course will host not only last week’s winner, but also Tiger Woods, active for the first time since missing the cut at the US Open in June.
Woods tees off Thursday on the back nine along with Steve Stricker and Sweden’s David Lingmerth at 8:10 a.m.
Argentina’s Angel Cabrera is the defending champion after shooting a 16-under last year to win the event by two strokes. The most memorable win here came in 2010, the tournament’s first go-round, when winner Stuart Appleby fired a 59 in the final round, the fifth 59 in PGA history. His 22-under is the standing course record.
Watson tees off at 1 p.m. alongside Bill Haas and Davis Love III, while Cabrera is accompanied by Patrick Reed and Keegan Bradley.
