Brian Harman, who had to live in Bubba Watson’s shadow at the University of Georgia, shot his second straight 65 to take a 1-stroke lead over Watson and Canada’s Graham DeLaet through 54 holes at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut on Saturday.
Harman didn’t record a bogey and knocked in five birdies to finish at 5-under on the day. DeLaet was a shot better with a 64, while Watson shot a 68.
Seven players are at least 10 strokes under par, including Brandt Snedeker, whose 63 tied for the low score of the day and who is 11-under. Snedeker birdied his three of his first four holes and three more between holes No. 13 and 17.
