Justin Rose didn’t win The Memorial on Sunday, but he finished second, allowing him to rise from 25th to 11th in the latest FedEx Cup standings.
Rose is also sixth in the European Tour’s Race to Dubai. The only player ranked higher in both pursuits is No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who is third in the FedEx Cup and first in the Race to Dubai.
Jordan Spieth finished tied for third at The Memorial, strengthening his lead back to more than 600 points over No. 2 Jimmy Walker. The rest of the Top 10 was largely unchanged except for Hideki Matsuyama moving up from 12th to ninth.
Memorial champion David Lingmerth rose from 100th to 28th in the biggest move of them all. The top 125 players at season’s end qualify for the first post-season tournament.
