New day, new Swede atop the standings at the Nordea Masters.
Local boy Alex Noren fired a 5-under 67 to climb four spots to the top of the leader board at 11-under at the conclusion of three rounds.
He has a two-stroke lead over Germany’s Maximilian Kieffer, who has hung around the lead all tournament. Kieffer fired a 70 and is 9-under.
Noren had four birdies in his first five holes and hit the turn 3-under; he is the only player double-digits under par through 54 holes.
Marcus Kinhult, the 18-year-old amateur who had a share of the lead after 18 and 36 holes, had his first bumpy round of the tournament, a 5-over 77 that ended particularly messily – a stretch of a double bogey on No. 15, a bogey on 16, and another bogey on No. 17 that saw him go from 1-over to 6-over in the span of three holes, and tumble 13 spots on the leader board.
Henrik Stenson, ranked fourth in the world, climbed from 28th to tied for sixth at 6-under with his 4-under 68.
