His win at the WGC-Cadillac Match Play on Sunday propelled Rory McIlroy to an even bigger lead in the European Tour Race to Dubai standings, which he now leads by close to a million points.
McIlroy has raked in $2,665,169 in prize money this year in just five tournaments. Danny Willett, who finished third in San Francisco on Sunday, is second with $1,711,406 in eight tournaments.
Justin Rose is third, and is the only other player with more than $1 million in earnings to date this year.
The top 60 players in the standings at the end of the season qualify for the post-season tournaments. McIlroy is the defending champion, despite playing in only one of the post-season tournaments a year ago.
