Rose Rises to No. 6 with Zurich Win

Justin Rose turned his win at the Zurich Classic into a three-rung jump in the latest Official World Golf Rankings, rising to No. 6 in the world. Rose is right back where he started the year.

Rose’s rise dropped Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, and Adam Scott each one spot in the rankings. Europe now has three of the top six players in the world: Rose, #1 Rory McIlroy and #3 Henrik Stenson.

Zurich runner-up Cameron Tringale rose 22 spots to No. 55. He’s up 30 spots since the beginning of the year.

China’s Wu Ashun, winner of the Volvo China Open, rose 121 spots from 247th to 126th. Wu is the first Chinese player to ever win a European Tour event on his home  soil.

Idle Tiger Woods slid 10 spots to No. 116. He is down 84 spots from the start of the season.
