Justin Rose took his stock in the FedEx Cup to a new high on Sunday, thanks to his win at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans. Rose jumped from 82nd to 15th, having accrued 839 points in just eight tournaments.
The top 4 spots in the standings remained the same, although Dustin Johnson passed Bubba Watson for fifth, and Jason Day jumped from 9th to 7th.
The Top 125 players in the rankings at year’s end advance to the FedEx Cup – a series of four post-season tournaments where the prize money and point rewards are multiplied. The year ends with the TOUR Championship in Atlanta, after which the overall points winner earns an extra $10 million.
Rory McIlroy is the defending FedEx Cup champion.
