Jim Furyk Rises to No. 5 in Rankings

His first win in five years propelled Jim Furyk to 5th from 10th in the latest Official World Golf Rankings released on Monday.

Furyk jumped up five spots by taking the title at the RBC Heritage in South Carolina on Sunday. The top 4 players in the world – Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Henrik Stenson, and Bubba Watson – remained as is.

Shenzhen Open winner Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand soared 38 spots from 116th to 78th with his big win. He is now No. 4 in the world among Asian players.

RBC Heritage runner-up Kevin Kisner climbed from 257th to 122nd, his career high.

Idle Tiger Woods fell five spots from 101st to 106th.
