Forty-six year-old Retief Goosen made it two days in a row leading the field at the Northern Trust Open, shooting a 1-under 70 to sit 6-back through 36 holes.
The 70 didn’t come easy. Goosen sank a 30-foot putt on his final hole to get under par. He holds a 1-stroke lead over the trio of Ryan Moore, Graham DeLaet, and Justin Thomas.
Delaet had the best round of the day, a 4-under 67.
Bubba Watson and Jordan Spieth are part of the crowded field three strokes back at 3-under, while Day One co-leader Vijay Singh struggled to a 3-over 74 to drop back to 2-under and a tie for 11th.
Ironically, Day One co-leaders Nick Watney and James Hahn also both 74s.
