As the Hero Indian Open and Northwest Trust Open ramp up for tomorrows’ first tee offs, here are a few statistics to keep you talking golf for the next 24 hours.
0-for-16: Jim Furyk‘s success rate on putts outside of 10 feet during the final two rounds of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am this past week. What’s amazing is he still shot a 63 on Saturday.
0-for-9: Furyk’s success rate when leading after 54 holes in his last nine tournaments.
3: Players who finished in the Top 10 of at least one tournament from 1993 to 2014. The first two are no-brainers: Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els, but the third is Bob Estes, who hasn’t won a PGA event since 2002, but continues to make strong showings.
77-under: Anirban Lahiri’s combined score on 32 rounds at the Delhi Golf Club, where the Hero Indian Open will be played from Thursday. That translates into about 10-under for each four rounds.
29: Number of rounds that Miguel Angel Jimenez has scored in the 60s in since turning 50 last year.
84%: Number of fairways that Ireland’s Kevin Phelan has hit so far this season.
10-7-3: Overall record for Darren Clarke, new Euro coach, in the Ryder Cup as a player. He’s 1-2-2 in singles, 3-3-0 in foursomes and 6-2-1 in fourballs.
