A pair of South Africans and an Austrian have moved atop the leaderboard after 36 holes at the Qatar Masters.
Branden Grace and George Coetzee are the sub-continent representatives, tied with Bernd Wiesberger at 9-under through two days.
Wiesberger was the biggest riser of the three, shooting a 6-under 66 to jump up 21 spots. Just 1-under at the turn, Wiesberger fired four straight birdies between holes 13-16 to jump forward in the standings.
Grace moved up from third place with his 4-under 68. Coetzee fired a 67 to go with his Day One 68, firing four birdies on the back nine.
The best round on the day came from Scotland’s Marc Warren, whose 65 got him within a stroke of the lead. An eagle on No.1 set the tone for his 5-under on the front nine, and only a bogey on 17 kept him from making it a four-way tie at the top.
Day One leader Oliver Fisher found himself headed in the opposite direction, struggling to a 1-over 73 to drop back to a tie for 10th, three strokes off the lead. Joining him there is defending champion Sergio Garcia, who fired his second straight 69.
