Luke Donald held off a charging Danny Willett to take a one-stroke lead into the final day of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in Sun City, South Africa on Saturday.
British men hold the top three spots in the tournament after 54 holes. Donald is the leader at 13-under, followed by Willett at 12-under and Ross Fisher at 10-under.
Willett fired a 7-under 65 on Saturday to move from fourth to second and is one stroke off the lead following an eight-birdied performance.
After taking the lead with a 63 on Friday, Donald added a 3-under 69 Saturday. He was 4-under through 12 holes, but bogeyed No. 13 and 17 to lose some of that mojo.
Fisher shot his second straight 70 to reach 10-under. There’s a wide gap between the three Brits and the rest of the field; Germany’s Marcel Siem is fourth at 5-under.
