Kevin Streelman turned his Travelers Cup championship on Sunday into a spot in the Top 30 in the latest FedExCup standings on Monday, climbing 59 spots from No. 86 to No. 27.
By recording his first title of the year, Streelman is up to 956 points for the season. The top 21 players have more than 1,000 points each, while only two – Jimmie Walker and Bubba Watson – have surpassed 2,000.
The top 125 players in terms of FedExCup points qualify for the four-week playoff at the end of the year. Finishes in each of those four tournaments add additional points, and additional cuts are made through the final weekend, which then presents a champion, who wins $10 million.
