Sad news from one of the PGA’s favorite characters: Jason Dufner and wife Amanda have filed for divorce.
Amanda Dufner, whose Instagram account is appealing to most male golf fans as watching Dufner on the course, filed for divorce in Georgia on March 16, citing “irretrievable breakdown of the marriage” and a “complete incompatibility of temperament.”
Jason Dufner has already signed off on a $2.5 million settlement, although he’ll be keeping both of the couple’s houses.
Dufner won the 2013 PGA Championship, but missed time due to injuries in the back half of 2014. He underwent a dramatic weight loss, somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 pounds with a revamped, healthy diet during the off-season, but has just one top 10 finish so far this season.
The Dufners had been married not quite three years.
