Jordan Spieth Joins Top 5; Walker Top 10

Texas is the state so big it once was its own country, and now has two of the top 10 golfers in the world both hailing from its friendly borders.

Jordan Spieth moved up to a career-best No. 4 from sixth this week and Jimmy Walker from 13th to 10th after the two men finished first (Walker) and second (Spieth) at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio on Sunday.

Spieth has jumped up five spots from the end of 2014, and Walker has climbed 11. Rory McIlroy, idle last week, remains No. 1 in the world, with Henrik Stenson second and Bubba Watson third.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods dropped out of the Top 100 for the first time since 1996. Still idle since February 8, Woods is now ranked 104th in the world, having fallen 72 spots since the end of 2014.
