Golf Birthdays: March 13-15

March 13

English pro Graeme Storm turns 37. Storm has won career European Tour victory, the 2007 Open de France Alstom. He has never finished higher than 39th at a Major.

March 14

Bob Goalby, who won the 1968 Masters, turns 86. Goalby won 14 times as a professional, including 11 on the PGA Tour. He tied for second at the 1961 US Open and 1962 PGA Championship. At The Masters, he was the recipient of one of the most bizarre gifts in golf history. He finished the 72 holes tied with Roberto DeVicenzo, which would have resulted in playoff, except DeVicenzo signed an incorrect scorecard, which had been kept by playing partner Tommy Aaron. Instead of a birdie 3 on No. 17, DeVicenzo was awarded a par-4, giving Goalby the tournament win. Goalby is the uncle of former PGA pro Jay Haas.
