Nerves are a part of every round for every golfer, but expect to see a bit more of them from Bill Haas this week at Riviera.
Haas’ wife is due to deliver the couple’s first baby a week from Friday, but Haas had said he’s still jittery about it.
Haas said he will be checking his phone “every couple of holes” during the four-round tournament, making sure his wife isn’t on the other end telling him it’s go-time.
He’ll have some company on the course, one of his playing partners is Dustin Johnson, who just became a dad a few weeks ago.
The 2011 FedEx Cup winner, the 32-year-old Haas is ranked 24th in the world and is currently 14th on the FedEx list.
