Jordan Spieth has signed a new incentive-based contract with Under Armour, even though he had two years left on his existing deal.
The 21-year-old American will wear nothing but Under Amour gear, including shoes, which will be unveiled later this year.
“He’s athletic, he’s young, he has the right character and he wins,” said Ryan Kuehl, senior director of golf for the company. “This is a testament to our investment in the golf performance space.”
Under Armour wasn’t fooling around when it dressed Spieth for last year’s Masters. In the Major where he finished second, he had at least 10 Under Armour logos visible on his body.
Ranked No. 9 in the world, Spieth has yet to play in 2015 after ending the 2014 with a runaway 10-stroke victory in the Hero World Challenge.
