Rickie Fowler is the most well-known golfer for millenials – those sports fans currently age 18-34, according to a new survey done by Sports Illustrated and Ranker.
120 Sports, a digital subsidiary of Sports Illustrated, released its data on Tuesday, surveying more than 1,4000 millenials in the US and asking them what athlete mattered the most to them.
Rickie Fowler, who finished in the Top 5 at all four Majors last year, was the top-ranked golfer, coming in at No. 23. The other two golfers on the list are not millenials themselves.
Bubba Watson, the 2014 Masters chapion, ranked 36th, and Tiger Woods came in 40th.
At 39 years old, Woods is the oldest athlete on the 40-person list, just ahead of 38-year-olds Tim Duncan (#24) and Peyton Manning (#29)
The NBA’s Steph Curry ranked No. 1 on the list.
