Clock Ticking for Anchored Putters

As the 2015 season truly gets underway Friday with the start of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, we are less than a year away from the ban of the anchored putter by the USGA.

Such luminaries as Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley have used the anchored putter, and are among those who will have to wean themselves from it over the next 355 days or so.

Bradley was spotted with a normal putter during December’s Hero World Challenge and said “it feels comfortable.”

Perhaps the player most affected will be Tim Clark, who has used a belly putter since joining the Tour in 2001.
