First the bad news that’s sort of also good news: Jack Nicklaus won’t have to choose between his alma mater and his grandson in next week’s National Championship college football game.
While Nicklaus’ alma mater Ohio State ran roughshod over No. 1 Alabama Thursday night, his grandson’s squad, defending national champion Florida State, was demolished by Oregon.
During the Seminoles’ media session, however, Nick O’Leary was able to show off his putting skills, using a short, plastic putter to defeat three of his teammates in a putting cotnest.
