For the teenage girls of the world (and my twin toddlers), Niall Horan, the blonde-headed crooner from One Direction can do no wrong on stage.
Turns out the Irish singer wants to do better on the golf course now.
Horan was made an honorary lifetime member of the Mullingar Golf Club Saturday, ensuring the boy band member can play there for free any time he wants.
Mullingar is also a favorite course for world No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who ironically is not a member. Horan said he and McIlroy actually played together a few weeks ago while in Australia.
“We were joking as to who could hit a shot over the big trees on the 10th hole,” Horan said. “He was picking out trees on the 10th that he likes to play over and I was thinking to myself ‘Holy God, this is a good golf club’”.
