The World’s Most Expensive Golf Clubs

Yesterday we showed you the $25 million Asherwood Estate as a potential real estate investment; but you’re not going to play its two private courses with clubs you’ve had since college, are you?

Thus we turn your attention to Honma Golf’s Five Star Set, gold clubs that start at $5,400 (yes, that’s EACH).  The Japanese-made clubs have 24-karat golf plating, along with PT1000 platinum. If you go for the 14-piece set, along with accessories, it’ll put you back $76,000 or so.

If that’s a little out of your price range, you could always try Maruman Golf’s Majesty Prestigio Super7 Driver as your club of choice. Listed at $2,500 and also made in Japan, it includes a laser engraving ont he club face that helps regulate the ball’s spin rate in rainy conditions.

If you prefer Old World style clubs, there’s also Michael Barth’s Golden Putter, which yes, is a 24-karat gold plated masterpiece that can be both engraved and customized with precious stones. Starting at $2,940, the club’s website boasts of its “natural elegance” – which seems kind of the opposite of a golf club plated in gold with rubies and emeralds.
