Adam Scott Hires Mike Kerr as Caddie

After a two-tournament tryout, Mike Kerr has officially been hired by Adam Scott to be his new caddie.

Scott parted ways with Steve Williams at the end of the FedEx Cup in October.

Kerr has worked with major players Ernie Els and Lee Westwood in the past, and most recently caddied for Norway’s Thobjorn Olesen.

The two will have ample time to work out the finer points of their relationship. Scott is not expected to start his 2015 season until at least February 26 at the Honda Classic, as he and his wife are anticipating their first to be born in early February.

With Kerr on the bag, Scott finished fifth at the Australian Open, then tied for second at the Australian PGA Championship.

“I’m delighted that Mike has accepted my offer and I am confident that he will be a valuable member of my team for 2015 and and I am confident that he will be a valuable member of my team for 2015 and beyond,” Scott said in a press release.

Olesen, who turned 25 earlier this week, had his best year statistically on the European Tour in 2014 with Kerr, averaging a 70.49 per round. He won the Perth International in October, and had four other Top 10 finishes on the year, winning more than $1.1 million in prize money.
