Rory McIlroy has a new getaway in Northern Ireland and to be blunt, well, it’s nicer than your house.
It’s not McIlroy’s main residence mind you, just a house that’s part of a block of luxury apartments that’s about 8,000 square feet.
The new property is near his hometown of Holywood, and is located directly on the Cultra Seafront.
“Buying the house is like a bricks-and-mortar statement on his commitment to Northern Ireland, his sense of being rooted in Northern Ireland,” his spokesperson, Terry Prone, said.
McIlroy’s new digs cost around $628,000 and has a private lift and under-floor heating. The only flaw is the grand staircase, which has to rebuilt after movers dropped a massive refrigerator on it.
