Up until Saturday, Lucas Bjerregaard’s most dangerous game might have been using his own last name in Scrabble (worth 17 points).
But then the Dane caught fired at the third round of the Dunhill Championship in South Africa.
Bjerregard’s 6-under 66, combined with a pedestrian par round 72 by leader Branden Grace, saw Grace’s lead fall to a single stroke at Leopard Creek Country Club.
The Dane isn’t the only one knocking at the door for Grace, last week’s winner Danny Willett also climbed the ladder, finishing at 14-under after 54 holes.
