Schwartzel Takes Aim at 3rd Straight Dunhill Title

There are two groups of players headed into this week’s Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club in Malelane, South Africa: Charl Schwartzel … and everybody else.

Schwartzel is in pursuit of a third straight title at Dunhill after running away with the 2013 title by 12 strokes and winning a year ago by four strokes. He also won this event in 2005.

Schwartzel and the rest of the field will share the course this weekend with some of the continent’s best wild life – hippopotami, antelope, buffalo, elephants and crocodiles are common sights on the course.

The tournament will also introduce the world to 21 players who qualified for the tour at the six-round Q-School Final in Spain recently, along with 11 of the 15 Challenge Tour graduates.

Among that list is perhaps the greatest name in the history of golf, maybe even all sports – Jerome Lando Casanova – the 29-year-old Frenchman who sprinted up through the ranks late last year.
