It’s preposterous to say Jimmy Walker is in a slump when you consider he leads the FedEx Cup Standings, has three tournament wins, has racked up $4.9 million in prize money and five other Top 10 finishes this year.
But the fact remains that Walker hasn’t actually won a tournament since Pebble Beach back in February, and Bubba Watson is rapidly charging to take that No. 1 spot in the FedEx away from him.
Walker is the pick of many to take the title at the 2014 Greenbrier Classic this week in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, when the PGA Tour resumes at The Old White TPC.
Walker takes the tees on Thursday at 8 a.m. in the company of Jonas Blixt and Scott Stallings. Blixt is the defending tournament champion.
