OGIO’S NEW GOLF CLOTHING

UK golf fans got an early preview of Ogio’s new golf clothing last weekend when Kevin Streelman won the prestigious Travelers Championship wearing the new apparel.

What’s more, fourth-placed Aaron Baddeley was also sporting the new range complete with the equally highly-anticipated OGIO golf shoes.

Streelman and Baddeley are among dozens of PGA Tour pros who rely on OGIO travel bags and luggage to get from event to event on the PGA Tour, but the brand, which took the US by storm last season, is launching its own apparel and shoe lines in the UK next year, to complement the high-end sports luggage for which it has become renowned.

A spokesman for OGIO in the UK said: “OGIO’s golf bags and sports luggage have always been renowned for both their engineering excellence and good looks, and the apparel line, which will launch in the UK in 2015, will bear those very same hallmarks of quality.

“The range is being showcased this season on the PGA Tour by both Kevin Streelman and Aaron Baddeley and they looked great in the extensive coverage they were both afforded at the weekend. The basics are stylish and technologically advanced to assist in performance, as illustrated at the weekend.

“The only thing they can’t guarantee for the average golfer is a PGA Tour title – that’s limited to the lucky, talented few,” he smiled.

OGIO’s SS 2015 UK collection embodies the ideal blend of head-turning prints, plaids, stripes and solids designed to get noticed on the golf course, on the town and in the boardroom.

OGIO’s intelligent designs includes technical innovations such as performance materials that allow for free movement, stretch seams, moisture wicking and UV-resistance. Apparel is OGIO’s fastest growing golf category in the USA and is available at the top 400 golf shops in the country.

The lightweight, easy-care fabric is constructed with UV protection, anti-microbial material that wicks moisture away from the skin, while the performance-textured, mechanical-stretch material for a full range of motion.

The 2015 OGIO apparel range starts at £49 and will be available in store from March 2015.
